Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to sing and play music at an early age together with her mom. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. When she moved from Mexico to America in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects in both teaching as well as a performer due to her love of music and art. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
