Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 in 1983) is an acclaimed American actress. Most notably, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of school after her parents separated to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. Her first role came to her in the film, Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time with finances. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder set in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. Grace has been in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills.
